God Blessed Morning Family!
Sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me. This is an old nursery rhyme children use to recite to school yard bullies that were tormenting them. They used these words as shields to tell themselves that what is being said about them does not matter nor will it hurt them, but in today's society we are finding that words hurt more than sticks and stones. For words hold more power over us than the temporary pain felt if one was pelted with sticks and stones. Why do we allow the hurtful words of others to penetrate our minds and Souls so deeply? It seems that we have given the words of man control and power over what we think about ourselves rather than what God has said about us. Put your Faith in God and you will find that the words of man have no power over you. For when you understand that God does not create junk nor is His creations the hurtful things man says about one another, then we will comprehend that we should not put our Faith in man nor should we give him power over what we know about ourselves to be true. What we Know to be true is that God is our Father and He has created us in His image. As a reflection of God we could never be the hurtful words in which the bullies say. For God Is Love and never will He be unworthy of Love, nor will He ever be the ugly words man say to His Children and as a reflection of Him His Children will never be those things. For we Know names will never hurt Him and as our Shepherd He will not allow them to hurt us either. Be Still And Know That I Am. Amen. Hallelujah.
