God Blessed Morning Family!
Even those who are called still have a sliver of doubt. For man is never 100% confident for he remains in battle with the flesh. We will always remain in doubt of the intentions of those who have trespassed against us even when it appears that they have made amends. Although their intentions may seem sincere there will always remain that sliver of doubt since they have wronged us in the past. Even when we say we forgive them they will still have some doubt on occasion as to whether we did are attempting to seek revenge at some point. For once we have been crossed by someone we trust there is a bond in the relationship that remains fractured, for what was done in the past can never be erased nor forgotten. Unfortunately it is our past experiences which have formed our relationships and alters the way we approach others. No one wants to be betrayed or hurt and therefore once we have felt the sting of pain from those we once trusted it is difficult to trust once again, but we can forgive. For forgiveness releases us from holding on to the pain, so we do not carry it around into our relationships. What happens if we are not able to remove that which makes us hesitant to trust at the same level once again? This is why we are to, "Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:3-6 For when we Trust in the Lord we will never be lead astray by man nor our own thoughts and actions. Be Still And Know That I Am.
