God Blessed Morning Family!
Have you ever met someone that you immediately liked or disliked? Did you ever wonder what it was about that person that gave you this instinctive and gut reaction to their presence? Is it really them that you liked or disliked or is it what you saw in them that reminded you of yourself that you liked or did not like? If you met you yourself in a crowded room would you be drawn to your personality, looks or energy? Would you even want to spend time with yourself? Most people never give any thought to whether they really like themselves? Interestingly enough most people don't even contemplate why they dislike someone they just met. They often feel that when they do not like someone it is because they are nothing like themselves, but is that true? Perhaps what we don't like about that person is what we fear or see in ourselves. Think about what it is like to greet yourself? Do you find that you are someone that could spend time with yourself for 40 days alone with your own thoughts and temptations like Jesus did? Or would you immediately seek the comfort of others. For what we like and dislike in others is what we see in ourselves or fear ourselves becoming. When we look upon each other we are to look with eyes of unconditional love and acceptance, not tolerance and discontent. "He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls." Proverbs 25:28 Jesus loved Himself as He loved us all, for He accepted and welcomed all in His presence for He saw all as His brethren for we are Children of God. To love all no matter our differences is an expression of your love not only for yourself but for God as well. Be Still And Know That I Am. Amen. Hallelujah. Lifewateringwords.com
